Training AI on Corrosion Rate Based Inspection Deferrals

Developed a realistic mechanical-integrity decision workflow for a chemical plant turnaround delay, requiring evaluation of whether CUI, external corrosion, and internal corrosion inspections could be safely deferred from a planned outage to a later turnaround window. The project included a full context package with inspection reports, job lists, procedures, deferral forms, status-change reports, repair-planning records, and evaluation files. The task required agents to identify in-scope inspection work, exclude maintenance and support activities, calculate corrosion rates and remaining life, apply a half-life deferral rule, recognize severe/open-repair findings, and produce a structured decision register with defensible approve, monitor, or reject outcomes.
